We picked up our first Christmas gift on Saturday, and she is well worth the long car trip to Austin. Introducing Ellie, the new four legged member of the Scurlock family. Sorry to anyone who may have a similar name. We didn't get to name this pup.

Ellie is a 2 year old German Short Haired Pointer that we adopted from the GSHP Rescue. She is the sweetest dog and has already made herself at home. I think she walked in our house and knew she had hit the jack pot. Drew adores her and spent all day today playing with her. The scary thing is that we have determined that Drew has even more energy than a Pointer. Ellie curled up in front of the fire and zonked out long before Drew. She has a great temperament and has yet to let us know she even knows how to bark. She also loves to snuggle. Ellie's only faults so far are her love of rolled up socks and the furniture. I was assured tonight as Ellie followed Gunner to bed that we added the perfect member to our family and new friend for Gunner.
