Chad and Drew headed to Austin on Saturday to watch the Texas game with Todd and his son Carter. They had a great time (although Chad is sore from holding Drew the entire game). Drew made it to the end of the 4th quarter with a bit of nudging from Chad. It was too close of a game to leave even a minute early. After a long trip in the car, no nap and watching the game in the hot sun, Drew fell asleep while Chad was carrying him back to the car. He got his second wind when they got back to the house at 10:30....had to fill me in on all the details. Drew's favorite part of the game was the canon. He said, " the canon goes BOOM!" Too cute. Despite loving the football game, Drew still was geared up to play hockey again this morning. Go figure. Actually I couldn't tell if he was more excited about going to the game or coming home to find a "hockey blanket" on his bed that Grammy made for him. Thanks Grammy!
Reid and I shared a little girl bonding time and some relaxation while Chad and Drew were gone. The house is too quiet though without the 2 year old. Even Reid missed the boys by the end of the day.
